Running truck low on fuel is bad for fuel pump and injectors, yes or no?

Yup, you'll burn up the fuel pump, and suck the crap from the bottom of the tank. It probably runs rough because the accessible filter is clogged or the filter screen on the pump or pickup in the tank are clogged.
