Will smoking through your nose prevent infections/air sockets after oral surgery?

I just got gum surgery today because of a receding gum line. They patched the bad area with another part of my gums, and stitched it up. I was thinking if there was no smoke inhaling or exhaling through my mouth I will be fine. I know it sounds a little ridiculous, but I can't last 30 days without a cigarette. Hell, I can't even last 30 minutes.
