This "thing" came out of my throat or nasal cavities?

A while back, in the middle of the night, I got up to make a bottle for my son. I felt like I had phlegm in my throat, so I coughed. This thing came out and pinged off the sink. I didn't like the sound of it, so I grabbed it to get a better look under some light. It was the size of a small g, transparent yellowish, and it had veins in it! It looked like it also had a stem where it was once attached somewhere, almost like an embryo. Did it come out of my sinuses, or my lungs? What is it? Has this happened to anyone else?
