American Idol question?

Arent you surprised that some people have made it this far this season? Like that norman gental guy and bikini girl neither of them good sing GOOD they were just ok and that guy was a joke but some how both of them made it farther than the really talented people...do you think the judges were keeping them around just for a joke?
