Lifes so confusing....?

boyfriends going away for high school... he says we should break up, but he says he can't picture himself with anyone else and i don't want to date anyone...so whats the point of breaking up? is long distance relationships really that hard? but he says he wants to get back together when i go to the school next year you think its likely for us to get back together?
